Is a Tesla Model 3 lease right for you?

Tesla have completely changed the game when it comes to electric vehicles.

What started as a bold experiment by billionaire Musk has become the world’s most valuable car manufacturer (we’re talking in the billions, with a B), proving that electric cars aren’t the future – they’re the present.

The brand has built its reputation on cutting-edge technology, over-the-air updates, and making electric cars that people actually want to drive. Tesla don't just build cars; they build software on wheels.

And this is evident in Tesla’s most accessible model, the Model 3 brings all that innovation and tech into a sleek, practical saloon, perfect for the everyday.

If you’re looking for a lease car that can deliver proper premium, without the premium price tag, the Model 3 might just be what you need.

Meet the Tesla Model 3

If you know anything about the Tesla Model 3, you’ll know it’s always been up there for best-selling electric vehicle (EV) since its release. And for good reason.

It’s a sleek, minimalist saloon that combines Tesla’s cutting-edge technology with everyday practicality.

With a WLTP Comb range of up to 436 miles (depending on which variant you choose), range anxiety is no where to be seen. Whether you’re commuting to work or planning a weekend getaway, the Model 3 has the wheels to get you there and back, again and again.

But it’s not just about the numbers. Tesla have engineered something that made its mark on the EV market. Electric motoring done right, and even easier to lease.

Inside the Model 3

Once you step inside the Tesla Model 3, you’ll be transported into minimalist heaven.

Located in the centre, you’ll find a 15.4-inch touchscreen that controls pretty much everything – from your music and navigation to the air conditioning and even glove box.

It might sound overwhelming at first, but it’s surprisingly intuitive once you get the hang of it.

With a spacious airy cabin, helped by the glass panoramic roof (which comes as standard), you’ll find plenty of room for all your tall friends and family members.

Plus a decent-sized boot for your weekly shop or weekend luggage, and the addition of the “frunk” (front boot) to store your charging cables means you’ll have room for everything life throws at you.

It’s clean, modern, and feels super premium – which is exactly what you want from your brand-new lease car.

Safety features and tech

Tesla doesn’t mess around when it comes to tech and safety. The Model 3 earned a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating, undoubtedly.

The standard safety kit includes:

-            Automatic emergency braking

-            Blind Spot Monitoring

-            Lane Keeping Assist

-            Lane Departure Avoidance

-            Speed Assist

-            Forward Collision Warning

-            Side Collision Warning

-            Active Bonnet

And much more.

But Tesla go that step further, with their Autopilot and Full Self-Driving Capability, capable of steering, braking and accelerating, to be a helping hand on those longer journeys – Full Self-Driving hasn’t landed in the UK just yet though.

Then there's the tech that makes daily life easier. Over-the-air updates mean your car actually improves over time, adding new features and improvements while it's parked on your driveway.

The mobile app lets you pre-heat the cabin, check your charging status, and even summon the car from a parking space.

The Tesla Model 3 does lots of the heavy lifting for you.

The drive

Performance and drive is where the Tesla Model 3 really shines.

With that classic EV instant torque, acceleration can be as quick as 0 to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds with the Performance model. Even the entry-level Model can achieve this sprint from 0 to 62 mph in a rapid 5.8 seconds.

But it's not just about straight-line speed, the low centre of gravity (thanks to the battery pack being mounted in the floor) means the Model 3 handles corners with surprising poise. It feels planted and secure, whether you're navigating city streets or tackling country lanes.

The ride is comfortable and sturdy, and the cabin is whisper-quiet, even at motorway speeds. Tesla have done a particularly good job at sound insulation.

The regenerative braking system means you can drive with just one pedal most of the time. Lift off the accelerator and the car slows down naturally, feeding energy back to the battery, squeezing every last mile out of the charge.

Charging

One of the biggest concerns about any electric car is charging, but Tesla have made it straightforward for their cars.

At home, you can plug into a standard three-pin socket (albeit it's slow and not recommended), or have a dedicated home charger installed for faster charging overnight. Wake up every morning with a 'full tank' – no more petrol station detours.

For longer trips, Tesla's Supercharger network adds 200 miles of range in about 15 minutes, with the car planning even your route and charging stops automatically. You can also use any public charging point for maximum flexibility.

The mobile app shows you charging status in real-time, so you always know how much range you've got. You can even pre-condition the battery for optimal charging speeds before you arrive at a rapid charger, really putting the ‘ease’ into your lease car.

Is it worth the price?

The smallest and cheapest model in the Tesla lineup, but that doesn’t mean quality and tech has been skimped out on.

The Tesla Model 3 is in the premium electric saloon category, so it’s not going to be the cheapest lease option out there. But when you look at all its accolades, it starts to make sense.

First off, the savings you’ll make each month on charging instead of petrol or diesel will help offset the price of the monthly lease payments. Pair that with lower maintenance costs due to fewer moving parts and no oil changes, you’ll probably end up spending the same or even less.

Plus, with our current Tesla Model 3 lease deals, you can get behind the wheel for less than you might expect. When you spread the cost over monthly payments, premium electric motoring becomes surprisingly accessible.

The real question isn't whether the Model 3 is worth the price – it's whether you can afford to miss out on the future of driving.
